Anatolia, (also known as Asia Minor) is a geographic and historical term referring to the western-most protrusion of Asia. Since the foundation of the Republic of Turkey in 1923, Anatolia has become Turkey, with its inhabitants being 80% Turks and 15% Kurds, the largest ethnic minority.
