The Blue Mountains Music Festival, Folk, Roots and Blues is held every March in Katoomba and is a celebration of music in a carnival-like setting held just a short walk from all the shops, cafes and restaurants of the Blue Mountains town of Katoomba. The festival started in 1996 with just 24 concerts on 3 stages. Today, the event has grown to around a hundred concerts with world-class musicians
